From the recording The Wicked and the Careless

Ok. This is an interesting one. This is actually one of the first songs I ever wrote when I was 18 or 19 yrs old. It's about a teenage latina girl on the wrong side of the tracks with a deadbeat dad and an alcoholic mother and she gets pregnant...not avant-garde subject matter but I was listening to singer-songwriters at the time and I think this was my stab and telling a story...the original was more of an Elvis Costello type of thing. It literally sat around for over 20 yrs before I rewrote it and revised it for Voodoo Train into a rockabilly rocker...and then we only played it a couple times. This mix I took the track we recorded at Laundry Room and added some slap on the drums and a synth arpeggiator thumping thingamajig just as an idea to take back into the studio. Alex is featured on lead guitar on this one.
